Courage Exhibition by Artist Elaine Antonio Bordeaux Travels to Madrid, Hosted by the Philippine Embassy
The vibrant and captivating bronze sculptures of artist Elaine Antonio Bordeaux is set to take center stage in the heart of Madrid as the Philippine Embassy proudly hosts the “Courage Exhibition from November 7th, 8th and 10th, 2023, at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid. This remarkable showcase of artistic talent was shown in Barcelona from Oct 16th to 30th, 2023 where it received almost a hundred guests during its opening night on October 16th.
The “Courage Exhibition” by Elaine Antonio Bordeaux is a collection of sculptures that beautifully encapsulate the essence of Filipino culture and heritage while exploring the profound theme of courage. Drawing on her Filipino roots and her advocacy for refugees, Bordeaux’s artwork resonates with the spirit of resilience and bravery. Her masterful use of form, texture and symbolism creates a vivid visual narrative that tells the stories of courageous individuals who have left an indelible mark on history and society. Some of the pieces in her collection were inspired by the beautiful Colorado wildlife where she lives.
“I am very happy that I have the chance to share my work to our people and I am grateful that I can touch their hearts with my art. This work is very personal to me. It is a reflection of my past, my roots and my aspirations”, said the artist who is set to receive the 2023 Most Influential Filipina in the World Award from the prestigious Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) at the 19th Filipina Leadership Summit on November 1, 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic. The 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award honors Filipina Women who are changing the face of power in their local communities and in their adopted countries they now call home.
